February 14th is Valentine’s Day. This day began as an initiative of the Catholic Church where they assigned St. Valentine as the patron saint of lovers. Today, it has become very popular in many countries of the world. In some, people prepare to celebrate their love with their partner, and in others, they add also to show their affection to all the people who love ♥
Also, Valentine’s Day has become a fairly commercial day, it will also depend on the meaning and importance that we want to give. It is very nice to be able to demonstrate how much we care about the people around us, no matter what date we want to do it, whenever we do it 😀
Take Valentine’s Day as a good excuse to spend a special day, have a detail with whom we want, and disconnect of our routines 😉
In Valentine’s Day 2016 we prepared our Special “Love is in the air” where our protagonists were Agatha & Argus, two kittens who love each other ♥.
This Valentine’s Day 2017 we could not stay without doing anything, so this time we decided to bring a more colorful and very sweet idea to give many ♥ ♥ ♥

HEART

| The heart is made from a magic ring. When we make the loop of the ring we begin to make the stitches in the following order: 3ch (would be the 1st double crochet), 3dc, 3hdc, 1ch, 1dc, 1ch, 3hdc, 3dc, 2ch, 1sl st (in the 1st chain stitch). Once all the stitches have been made, we pull the short yarn so that it closes and becomes a heart shape. Fasten off. |
| ASSEMBLE | ||
| 1.- Sew the legs to the body between Rnds. 3 to 5 (counting from the bottom). | ||
| 2.- Sew the arms to the body between Rnds. 3 to 4 (counting from the top). | ||
| 3.- Sew the tail to the body between Rnds. 7 to 8 (counting from the bottom), centered and using the legs reference. | ||
| 4.- Sew the inner part of the ear to the base of the ear. Then sew the ears to the head between Rnds. 5 to 6 (counting from the top). | ||
| 5.- Sew the nose to the base of the snout between Rnds. 2 and 4 (counting from the center). Then embroider a vertical line, from the bottom of the nose, using 2 rounds in length. | ||
| 6.- Sew the snout (a little stuffing) to the head between Rnds. 10 and 13 (counting from the top). | ||
| 7.- Embroider the eyebrows with the black thread in Rnd. 7 (counting from the top), embroider diagonally and use 1sc in the top of the eye. | ||
| 8.- Embroider with a little white yarn the side of the eye (look at the pictures). | ||
| 9.- Join the head centered to body sewing the openings of head and body together. | ||
| 10.- Sew the heart to the body on the left side and to the height of the beginning of the arms. |
